day 3.

This show NEVER gets old. Seriously. I've watched all 10 seasons numerous times! And it still makes me laugh every time i do.

day 2.

This is my family. They're amazing people. Each one of them offers different things when it comes to talents, skills, and personalities. Sometimes we fight and don't get along. Sometimes we sit around and laugh at each other. But no matter what, we always love each other. Always have. Always will.
My family is eternal.

the end of the beginning.

So it's official.
My first semester of college is over.
And I.LOVED.IT!
Don't get me wrong..there have been hard times, but the rest of the time totally overshadows them.  I've learned so much educationally and spiritually, but most of all, about myself.
So since I'm not very good about getting on here very often to keep things more up to date, I'll do a little play by play of what my first semester here has been made up of. Here it is:
-my first day i was introduced to a program that would change my life forever.
-i was able to attend devotional each week in the brand new BYU-I Center which is one of the coolest buildings ever built.
-i ate way too many meals on campus.
-i met more boys than i ever imagined. and actually became friends with them.
-i took a math class that i learned pretty much nothing in other than how to write my name with a graphing calculator and play a game based on a block dude. very productive.
-i met my best friend. i don't know how i got so lucky, but i did. she's super. and her roommate is also one of my best friends. i look up to the both of them so much.
-i have a crush on a boy that may be too complicated to ever work.
-i took another class all about intramural sports. i got 135% in the class.
-i got a job working for the RecSports program. it fits me perfectly.
-i missed Mexican food almost every day.
-i've learned to like the snow. kinda.
-i forgot about the boy that i feared i would never get over.
-i work at a place where it's totally okay to play catch, gloves and all, randomly inside the office whenever you feel so inclined.
-i "made a move" and it worked.
-i went snowboarding for the very first time.
-my cousin had twins. they are precious.
-i met quite a few boys whose names start with "J's". it's the most complicated part of it all.
-i volunteered 128+ hours in order to help my chances at getting said job.
-i had a great Valentine's day.
-i found out the hard way that horses don't fall in pools.
-i made lasagna that was better than James mom's. with Stephenie's help of course.
-i volunteered 15-20 hours a week because i had a crush on a boy. and it worked.
-my throat didn't freeze.
-i was called as the ward chorister.
-i drove down to Provo to spend the weekend with a guy i barely knew.
-i tried frozen custard.
-i owed Stephenie ice cream a couple times.
-i learned that EVERYONE is connected somehow. which is good. but also bad sometimes.
-i missed my family. and my ward back home.
-i had bad luck sometimes.
-i fell for two guys. at the same time. who turned out to be roommates. and things only got crazier from there.
-i stayed up too late most nights. and regretted it most mornings.
-i became part of Jimmermania. and had the song "Teach Me How To Jimmer" stuck in my head the whole month of March. and April. and a video of those boys to go along with it.
-i've been more confused at times than ever before.
-i went on some of the best dates i've ever had.
-i've laughed the hardest i've ever laughed.
-i KNOW that my Father in Heaven knows what is best for me. and BYU-Idaho is a big part of that.

So that's my semester! in a very brief explanation. There is so much more, but you get the jist of it- pretty much, i love my life. Period.
And there's much more to come... i know it! I can't wait...

Thursday, March 17

Nicole Whitfield, do you wanna go down in RecSports history?

Well, it's finally official-
i got the job!
I am now an official Games Manager with the RecSports program here at BYU-Idaho. I'm pretty excited about it. I've been blessed with such a great opportunity. Can't wait 'til Spring :)

Wednesday, March 2

the tenth letter.

Someday i'll tell the story of the roommates. But not yet. For now all you get is to know that there is a story. and it's about boys... feel free to imagine whatever you'd like until I fill in the blanks.
